Mr S M Davies- Further to Mike's post, when the user changes channel, it starts recording without you asking it to do so.

You can rewind up to the point of you changing the channel over and the machine will then go into 'play mode'. This is my understanding of recording onto the 'buffer'.

In the manual, it states you can only record one channel and not watch another, if you only have one dish input. I have only one connection and the box will allow the user to watch another channel as long as it is in the same group(transponder). The recording onto the buffer works even if you are recording one channel and change onto another in the same grouping.

I admit I am not aware of how long it will record to the buffer, but I left the channel on for 20 minutes and the box allowed me to rewind to the point of me changing channel. I assume it would record until you changed channel again.

Hope this helps.

Thomas- Normally this could be explained by high pressure causing your box to receive a signal from a transmitter that is usually outside of its normal range.

However, TPS? At this moment in time I have no answer.

Mike- Try the 800+ channels or you could manually retune the English channels in/rearrange the channels; dependent on your equipment.

Kim- Are sure the set does not have a Scart socket? As it is an LED backlit TV, it may have a socket marked 'RGB'. If it has, you may need a lead that fits this socket and the other end being a Scart socket. If this is applicable to your set, you can then fit your Sky-box via this method.

Hope this helps

C51 (714.0MHz) after switchover

Steff: If you are covered by a different transmitter as opposed to your friend, you may need to try a 'Restore default settings' instead of an automatic retune.

I understand that a recent software download cured the problems the unit initially had with a normal retune; the box may have an older software version.

Dave G: The obvious question would be, on what channel are you recording? If it is one from the PSB channels, you may be experiencing too strong a signal. If however, you are viewing/recording one of the PSB channels, it is probably down to too weak a signal. If this to be the case, this should improve as and when these channels go full-power.
