P.S. I had a Mitsibushi CRT model more than 20 years ago that was a pan eurpean set that managed just fine when switching broadcasting formats. Mind you it was one of the few sets then that could handle this.

Johnboy - Yes it's a straight swop over. However if your current SKY receiver isn't a Plus box and you plan to get a "Freesat" HDR same as a SKY plus or Plus HD then may need upgrading to the dish LNB and wiring. If its a non recrding receiver you plan as replacement your existing dish LNB and wiring will be OK.

Keith - Happy that jb38's input also helped you sort out this problem. The Humax manual does have shortcomings but it is a very capable product. This receiver has onboard diseqc dish motor control including USALS - universal satellite automatic location software. This isn't set out in the manual either. One needs to go to the Humax forums to get the info on this and how to get the code that allows one to enter the hidden menu structure via the boxes remote control in order to configure satellites other than at 28degrees South East. Granted not everyone would want to make use of this but never the less it would have been helpful to have also set this out in the instruction manual as is set out in the Technisat "Freesat" single tuner PVR.

Justin - Check your connections - making sure you have the two dish feeds to the two tuners connected left and right and not on the centre connector. Go to the menu on the reomote scroll down on the left hand pane to the dish icon and on the right hand pane select Factory Reset and then try to set up again.

ceebee- The answer to your points 1 and 2 are yes the receiver can do this.
As far as your point 3 is concerned I can only say that I haven't experienced this with my receiver. The receiver relies on upto date info from the broadcaster via the EPG. The only previous comments I've seen on this is in the past and has been in respect of some ITV sporting schedules. Maybe others can input more info on this for you.

Jake - They would likely need an upgrade to the cabling and the dish antenna LNB.ie:- another cable run and Quad output LNB to replace an existing single. Unless of course their is a quad LNB fitted to their dish.

Brian - European Union Advocate General - supports appeal by Portsmouth publican prosecuted for taking premier league football from Greek source using European receiver decoder. Advocate Generals view being that viewers in any mamber state have the right to take TV services from whatever state the broadcast originates from across the European Union- breaking news this am on 5live. Dtil to be ratified by Judges but judges yet to rule against European Unions Advocate General views. Could be really interesting this one!!

Steve - You can change the LNB from a Quad - (4 output LNB) to an Octo (8 output LNB). This will allow you an additional four connections.
