We had an aerial engineer working in our new house because there is no chimney the engineer has the aerial protuding through the roof tiles. I noticed as the wind got up the tiles were rocking and the aerial mast is making a hell of a lot of noise, to my horror i went into the attic space were there is the metal extractor vent and it appears the aerial mast is simply cable tied to the chimney vent as it passed through the felt and up above the roofline. The hole is infact so large i can see the aerial rods and blue end caps. I have made several attempts to safely remove the aerial by removing the cable safely from the box below the mast but now the aerial is lying at an angle and wrecking the tiles. Is there anyway i could mend it or dislodge the aerial safely through the roof. I wish i had read this site before i got an aerialman.
