Well that's a damn disgrace.

And now I think about it I don't think I've seen/heard anything that suggested we wouldn't be getting the full Freeview service.

Cheers.

It beggars belief that we're still 'behind the times' - even with a brand new transmitter aerial installed a few years ago.

Oh, I appreciate that Dave. It's just that, as you say, it's a bit of a let-down especially after being assured by both the Roadshow, and the official switch-over chap that checked my Fathers installation, that we'd be getting the FULL line-up.

He's right in line with the Whitby transmitter and we were assured by the chap (one of the ones that was doing the pre-switch over checks and installing free boxes for the over 75s etc) that the house aerial was OK and that we'd get everything.

You hit the nail on the head, there. "prior knowledge" - Prior knowledge via the Help Scheme roadshow vans and the Help Scheme chap that did the check assured ALL (inc Dave) channels via Frewview. Definite case of message being lost somewhere along the line.

Thanks for the help, and reassurance that we're getting what IS being transmitted and nothing is 'missing'.

Cheers.
