Hi jb38, thanks for your reply sorry that I haven't been in touch before now. The tv is a Sony Bravia KDL40W5500. We still have the box in our garage so will be able to check the exact wording tomorrow but we are sure that it was sold as a 40" Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Freeview and 100z Motionflow. Hope that this may be of some help to you and you may be able to give us some avice about the HD channels.

Hi jb38, thanks for your help and advice, seems we didn't buy exactly what we thought we were buying. Oh well, that's life I suppose too late to take the telly back.

We have a Sony Full HD tv. The digital switchover has been completed today, live in the North East with aerial towards the Bilsdale transmitter. The tv has been re-tuned but we have been unable to get any of the HD channels. If anyone out there is able to give us any clue as to what we need to do to get the HD channels then we would really appreciate a reply. Thanks
