BD20 0LQ No:-22. In an attempt to escape the clutches of Virgin I, 4 months ago, purchased a Humax Free view recorder which in general works well. Occasionally the picture will pixalate briefly. Normally this is not a problem but last night 24th February the picture on BBC 1 channel 001 at 18:30 (Look North) disappeared completely for over 30 minutes, ITV was OK but the signal strength was around 50/60%. The problem was the same on the recorder and the tv alone. It was a clear cold night, quite breezy. The aerial is in the loft in excess of 20 years old together with the cable which runs down outside the property. Before I commit to a new aerial are you able to say if there were any reported problems with the Keighleytransmitter around this time which would have caused the problems. A full reset of the recorder recommended by Humax improved matter a while ago. Any general reception advice would be appreciated.
