Finally cracked my problem with red button, so thought i would post in case it helps anybody else. I followed the instructions in the link but still no joy with red button on the waltham, but could get it on channels from the other transmitter. I postulated that the maybe the TV could only handle so many interactive stations and because the tv was tuning waltham 2nd (because of lower channel number), it ran out of 'slots' before waltham tuned in. Solution which worked, start tuning with aerial cable not connected, and after 10% search put aerial back in. Ok now i have only Waltham channels and red button works.

Pick up waltham transmitter, but since the retune on 31.01.2011, can only get BBC red button on BBC1 and not other BBC channels from waltham, but frustratingly can get it on 8?? channels (look North) where the reception is poor.
