Problem is though, if this ruling falls against the satellite broadcasters, they will just look into spot-beaming transmissions in specific markets further driving up the cost of the receiving equipment.

Explain to me how UTV covers Belfast, Londonderry, Ballycastle & Castlederg. When it's broadcast on 3 main transmitter stations and 44 relays.
Answer me a straight question - Will ITV+1 start broadcasting in Scotland and Northern Ireland next Tuesday?
