Hi, I currently receive my signal from Rowridge, using a loft aerial with masthead amplifier, i get a brilliant picture using this set up. When the switch over happens this month and the signal power is increased, is it likely that i can do away with the mast head amp...cheers Brian

Dave: thanks for that excellent explanation.

Didnt really know about the Horizontal / vertical aspect of the switch over, i guess that just means remounting the aerial from its current horizontal position through 90 deg so the bars point into the air?

Retuned this morning and get HD fine, however like some other comments on this thread no teletext on BBC HD by pressing the text button or the red button, also does anybody know when BBC south is going HD, instead of showing a red page saying change to ch 1 .....

Been waiting for HD to arrive as i have a tele with HD tuner built in, must say somewhat underwhelmed, there is a difference, but certainly not enough to make me get an hd box or tele if i didnt already have one......

Turned my aerial back to horizontal with masthead amp, so now I can receive the channels on com7, Im in post code po7 6be using Rowridge transmitter, the signal strength is not very good though, guess this is due to the 25,000W power, is this the maximum it will transmit in.
