Below are all of alan tilbury's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.I have just cancelled my Sky subscription and opted for Sky FreeSat. What I didn't realise before doing this is that although having an HD box you can no longer use it to record or watch one channel while recording another so in effect one input line becomes redundant. As I am retaining my Sky Broadband and Sky talk I also have to pay an extra £2.50 a month for my broadband plus of course I had to purchase a Sky Freesat viewing card for £25 to watch the additional channels that you do not receive by just using the original card. I thought perhaps you could publicise these facts when people ask about cancelling their Sky TV subscriptions

Philip Hemsley:
Hi, I live in Margate and often complain because BBC South East shows a lot of Brighton news so I guess it is swings and roundabouts. BBC local news is not shown in HD even on Sky.

I live in Margate, Kent, this week I received a letter to say that the change over to digital in this area was taking place in July. On opening, it referred to East Anglia transmissions. Now some people along the North Kent coast do tune into Anglia as they receive better reception than the Dover transmitter but in the main our reception does come from Dover and it's satellites and the change over for us is 2012. For people who have no idea where their aerials are pointing this letter is very misleading
