HD Tv seems to give consumers so many problems. The general public bought these sets hoping that when HD became generaly available they would be able to watch the HD programs with ease. Boy were we duped.
We are now aware that this is not the case. I have bought many years ago a Pioneer hdmi tv set and paid a substanial amount of money for it then, and I spcificly asked in the shop the revelant questions regarding the future prospects that this tv would be meet with future broadcasts of a HD picture.
After purchasing a Sky HD box over a year ago and paying for the privlage of having a HD quality picture with 4 visit from Sky engineers they say that it is the fault of the TV. But I am able to to have an excellent picture on a Samsung TV using Freeview But I must admit it was not easy to have the information or diagram to buy the relevant cables and connectors to achieve an excellent picture quality and audio on this HD ready TV Dvi audio cable with scart Asda £6.00. I am now of the opinion of cancelling Sky and replace with Freeview is the best option, but I still have to go thro. the painfull process of finding suitable cables and connectors again. If someone could advice I would be most gratefull the set is a Pioneer HDMI PDP-434HDE.

I seem to get interference at regular times ie: Around 7.30am till 9.ooam approx and in the evening from approx. 7.00pm till 9.30pm approx
During most of the time there is a perfect picture. Channels that are always affected are 12,15,18,21,22,24. The transmitter is directly in front of our house across the sea in Anglesy.Approx 4 Miles. Our house is in elevated position and the mast is in full view. Could there be an outside cause for this. I dont want Ofcom to investigate because they would charge for this service if its found to be caused by any electrical appliance in the house etc.I suspect that the cause could be from a cb operator but I see no large ariels.
