Thank you for your comments hard to explain setup but will have a try.
1. TV connectedted to sky+ box by HDMI
2. TV has a built in freeview
3. aerial goes into sky+ box then into TV by coax.
a. when i search for channels with sky+ turned off no problem finding the freeview channels.
b. if I then turn sky+ on the picture disappears. If I try to tune the TV with sky+ turned on, it does not find any freeview channels.
c. I think I understand that to use PIP i need both to be working or is there another way to watch with PIP IE: 2 sky channels.

Thanks that is very detailed however i do not have a freeview box it is encorparated into the tv.
To get sky i select hdmi2 from the tv remote.
When i select tv instead of hdmi2 no signal until i turn sky off.
Think i might have to get a tv man in to sort it.
Tv areal goes into areal in on the back of sky+ box and then out via rf out to the tv.

Hi i have sky+ and trying to tune indor arial to freeview chanells. To do this i have to turn the sky+ box off otherwise it will not find any digital chanells but when i turn the sky+ box off the tv tunes ok. You ask why i want to have freeview and sky+ this is because i would like to use the picture in picture (PIP) on my tv so i can keep upto date with the disabled oylimpic watching one main programe and another in PIP.
Any help much appreciated.
