Below are all of Colin's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.We don't have a problem, state of the art equipment. It's a transmiiter issue or maybe Brize Norton?? Always suspected they can influence our reception. No way a little smattering of ground mist can cause this loss of a digital signal. Can it? Anyway, HD recorded a blank screen of 'Episodes'.It's back now, so here's to the next time a fluffy cloud rolls across west Oxfordshire.

Adey
Thursday 17 March 2011 3:55PMHi people....I live in Swindon (SN)post code and have been following the comments with ref to channel loss and various other problems.Would i be wrong in asuming that after september 28th everything will be hunkey dorey or is this the way DTV is gonna be in the future?.
Adey mate, I'm afraid IMO you would be wrong to assume everything will be Hunky Dory after the 28th. This is what DigTV is all about. Lovely when it's working and rubbish when not. It's like a light switch in a room. On or off, all or nothing. Unlike analogue which I liken to a dimmer switch. The signal may be reduced but you can still see it! Colin @ GL7

Well, not long now, so RIP to our faithful servant analogue TV you have given me much pleasure since 1954 with very few problems, all things considered. I hope and trust your successor digital TV will be as reliable. To use a personal analogy as an avid collector, I still prefer the sound of vinyl to CD, yes you can get the odd click but a faulty CD won't play at all!

Here in GL7 Cirencester borders we have NO Freeview BBC channels or very intermittent signal today and currently, anyone else in the area? The BS of atmospherics or bounce back blah blah will no doubt be the automated answer.I'm gonna miss good old analogue for sure.
