Hi, I have a picture quality problem.
I have a sky dish connected to my SKY HD Box (2 separate cables) and a separate TV Ariel, also connected to the rear of the sky box using the Ariel in socket (At the moment I have only connected 1 TV to the system, but ultimately, I will be connecting up to 7). I have completely re wired the house using Triax TX100 Cable and would like to use a signal splitter to view either Sky or Freeview channels.
I then have a lead from RF output 2 (9v signal enabled from the sky box) which connects to an 8 way splitter UHF connector (Wolsey LTE IR Pass Distribution Amplifier). I have then taken a lead from one of the 8 outputs from the splitter and have run the cable to the back of the TV .
I also have a magic eye, which is working fine.
The picture quality is 100% when viewed as either a sky signal, using a stand alone HDMI cable linked directly from the Sky Box to the rear of the TV, or via the Ariel, which is connected via the 8 way signal splitter (described above). I have 180 + freeview channels and 40+ radio channels. And have re tuned the TV which has allocated channel 68 on the SKY Box.
My problem is that when I disconnect the HDMI cable (which I ultimately do not wish to use) I can find the SKY Chanlel on my remote, which is tuned to button 1, but the picture has a lot of noise on it. I have tried changing from Digital to Analogue using the remote, but it does not improve matters.
Does anyone have any suggestions? is it possible to re allocate the sky channel 68? It is so frustrating as each component is working individually, but when both aerials run via the splitter, I receive a very poor SKY signal, but Freeview is fine.
My post code is YO233NY and I am tuned to Emley Moor
Thank you
