BBC reception advise have responded "...We cannot answer every query or technical problem,..."
Or to ring "..at www.digitaluk.co.uk or by calling 08456 50 50 50." they have no one able to take calls the machine said.

Freesat say it is Panasonics problem.
So I'm in same boat as the i-player with Panasonic Freesat Tv set.

Richard, glad that worked for you, but I will be very unhappy with that as a solution as all the changes to setting made by me would be lost.
Is that the only solution that will come?
I might be better off doing without these 2 programs as it would be a nightmare setting it all over again.
I have several pieces of equipment being input and all thr none Freesat programs on Other Satellites.

Anyone seen anything publicaly official from the BBC, Freesat or Panasonic on this problem?

Hi NottsUK
Away at moment will look at Other Satellites and if there, they might be, on my return will delete and rescan Freesat.
Do not wish to go back to factory setting as this would mean a lot of work resetting up.
PS
Why on earth did the BBC rock the boat, someone should be looking for a new job.

I agree Peter that the BBC were at fault here.
Brian who do you blame as you have defended the BBC?
As Panasonic are the only maker of Freesat TV sets any testing the BBC did would have highlighted the problem, and a solution found before the 6th June.

Brian, of course the whole problem was started by the BBC on the 6th. June by changing the way they did.
As for your present problem thats difficult but as others seem to be ok now maybe something unique to your unit.

Mark, it has happened before to me with boxes that changes have been made by broadcasters and boxes failed to opperate afterwards, never have I been able to get a free replacement.
Are you replacing any free you supplied?
Presently with my 2008 Freesat Panasonic TV set I am getting no where with Panasonic over the lack of it getting the BBC i-player.

Thanks JB and Mark.
It is a TX-37LZD81.
First they promised the upgrade in Sept. 2010 as you say that would have been a long wait. Now they still say Sept. but 2011.
From my understanding of what they say to me it is taking all this time to test the results on the sets on the upgrade. To me they are not issuing an upgrade as they scared stiff of killing the TV with it.
I have asked them to do the Samsung or was it LG solution of issuing a box with the feature they are silent on that suggestion.
