Below are all of David's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Joe Public sees the TV sets marked Full HD and thinks the Freeview programs are ok.
He does not look for the FreeviewHD on the label.
He just buys a 32" TV at £200 with ordinary Freeview from the Supermarket.
Have you ever seen on the shops label DVB-T2 stated?
( By the way I not noticed Freeview HD DVB-T2 boxes so cheap.)

Frank not sure what you get up there but here in England I only have BBC1 and not a BBC England, are you saying you get BBC1 and BBC Scotland?

Thanks Frank yes you are getting an extra program choice over us in England then it seems. Our BBC1 HD goes off when a regional program is on BBC1 SD. ITV1 do it different they just do a different region to SD on HD, like BBC 24 News does when they going out on BBC1.
Its like the numbering system of the various platforms no common way of doing things, one might say a mess.

Conor, Joe Public will prefer Freeview due to no box needed how every bad the situation gets.

Thanks Dave, ITV1 do not mess me around on their ITV1 HD they just give me a different region, more sensible that nothing.
One does think at times the BBC are in a world of their own and not in the real world.

David Lindsey your not understanding what I'm unhappy about with BBC and HD.
I'm not asking at this stage for all regionals to be broadcast I'm wanting the BBC to do the same as ITV do and broadcast one of the other regions that is in HD in place of no program but a caption.
I will spell it out Yorkshire ITV gets the Granada Local program. ( I believe ITV have 2 HD stations only IE London and Granada.).

dedendwaterfall the shops want to be able to offer the cheapest TV sets they can, Joe Public does not understand the things we discus here.
Would be good for the Government and Ofcom to stop the sale of old technology but they not got the will to do that.
They did with light bulbs though, but probably it was the EU that did that.
