If this is a Humax PVR then it is a known problem. I have had the problem since moving to Bromsgrove. It is well documented on the web and you have to follow these instructions. Go into Favourites and select all channels tv. Delete them. Select all radio stations and delete them. Do a manual tune and only download the channels ie 23 which give a 100* signal quality. Save them and the problem is solved.

Jim Hall. Yes this is normal. It is only a problem in certain areas. When I lived in Belbroughton I did not have this problem.

Briantist: Why do you say she is talking about ITV3. I would have thought she was talking about Gold. If she purchased a Freesat box expecting to get Gold then she was given the incorrect advise by the Comet salesman and there is nothing strange about that. He is only interested in selling a box.

Would someone please advise if the latest 28/09/2011 changes to the requirement for a wideband aerial for Bromsgrove would have been widely known about in 2009. My reason for asking is my housing trust say " Our stock was assessed during 2009 to establish which communal aerials required upgrading to ensure compatibility with the new digital signals being provided from the Sutton Coldfield site ".
As I now have a very low signal on channels 41/44/47 I wondered if the aerial could be the reason.
Thank you.

I should point out that we obtain our signals from Bromsgrove,

Briantist.
Thanks for that and I take it that the information was available. I am still not sure however what " would be out-of-group " means other than not in the coverage of aerial band A if this had not been changed. Thanks again.

I presume there is no way of knowing what the aerial group is without access to the aerial which I do not have.

Thanks for that Briantist. Yes I meant I cannot see the aerial as it is in the communal loft.
