I have TV, Sky+ box and DVD/VCR combo, how do I connect them up

I have a TV with built in dvd player. Now the player does not seem to be working a keeps coming up no disc although there is one in.
I have already got a DVD player and set that up with the going from the DVD player to the TV, what else do I have to do a b ox is already set up.
