Below are all of NottsUK's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Briantist: This is from REAL Digital TV facebook page. "REAL Digital will offer 3 services. The 1st is a large free to air package with no subscription required. Then Sky Sports 1 and 2 will be offered without any annual contract just a month by month fee which will be the lowest price that is possible. The 3rd service will be called REAL Essentials and it will be offered as a monthly subcription and would require a 12 month contract. However the monthly fee will be the lowest Pay TV service in the UK. The channels in the REAL Essentials package will be confirmed later in the year. It will have something for everyone a family".

Briantist: In the newsbucket Guardian article, (Channel 4 and ITV challenge SKY on data it gleans from their shows), a Fru Hazlitt, managing director of commercial and online at ITV, said that the broadcaster "of course" supported Channel 4's view.
She then goes on to say, "Sky make most of their money because most people want to watch our free-to-air content". Does that mean then that if the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 moved off the SKY EPG, so they would only be available in the add channels list, SKY subscribers would ditch their SKY receivers and install Freesat receivers.

Mike Dimmick: When you say "Subscription revenue should be divided based on viewing figures, including distributions to the PSBs". Does that mean that SKY are getting the BBC for free, when the BBC trust are having to make cuts.

Briantist: Looking at this particular channel it mentions that " Vision is a new channel launching on Freeview HD soon". Simular wording also applies to CONNECT and STREAM. Looking at the Vision web site it seems as though this channel is going to deliver HD via broadband.

Briantist: I don't know if this has been mentioned previously, but is it true that the final ruling on the "Karen Murphy" case is to be handed down on the 4th October 2011.

Briantist: This week REAL Digital TV are having special electronic equipment installed for their transmissions. They have also signed with CONAX to provide the encryption on the pay tv channels. Last November they were given the ok to transmit both SKY Sports 1 and SKY Sports 2. Whether they will get enough people interested in buying REAL Digital satellite receivers only time will tell.
