Sarah: Just a thought. Do you use a SCART to connect to the TV? If so remove (both ends) and re-plug. If it's been knocked and is partially seated you can sometimes experience loss of sound or colours (depending upon which bit is making a poor connection). If you have an alternative SCART cable try that as well if simple reseating doesn't work.
