hiya.relised that the cable goin in to the sky box wasnt connected properly.so i now get a light on the sky eye without it bein connected to box.still cant get it tuned.unfortunately i cant get my sky box near my tele.but if i disconect the sky eye and run the coaxial from the rf2 straight to the 2nd tele.should it pick up freeview?i also tested the sky eye in to back off box and the light came on.so im presuming its just a tuning issue

have been dealing with this forum but in the wrong section.my problem is i cant tune my tv.i have an lg 42pq3000 model which does have analogue.only problem is that it doesnt find anything on auto tune or manual tune.i have tries rf2 number 68,60,32 and 37as stated by other members.but nothing. i have checked my sky eye and it lites up at back of sky box and also lights up before i plug in to tele via the coaxial,so presumin that the connections ok.so should it just pick up via auto tune? and when you try to manual tune there is loads sub headings such as storage system band and chanle.any idea how to set this up.pulling my hair out

here a little update on my status now.
1.i didnt unplug my sky box as stated to do in instructions.
2.the sky eye does light up from directly from the sky boxes rf2 and all the way to my 2nd tv.
3.i have tried channels 68 69 60 61 62 and 30 odd ith no avail.
4.my tv is analogue lg 42pq3000
5.it doesnt manual tune or autotune.
6.i live in a flat where we use a communial ariel ( 6 flats)
7. the sky eyes been tested on another tv in another house and works great.
is there anything else i can do as nothings workin. please help. my number is 07769272127 please text only if some one can help

Hiya jb. I know this is why i am pulling my hair out. I thought it would be a simple procedure. I dont pick up any freeview when i tune as all i have is the sky eye from the rf2 going in. yeah i posted in the wrong section to star with and that this would solve my answers for this. any other options? thanks for your help

hiya jb. yeah i receive freeview on my lg 3d tv directly from the ariel in to the wall and also receive freeview if i connect my 2nd lg to the ariel in the wall(communial so we have a socket that goes direct to it) i was thinking maybe because i dint switch off box when i first done it, i may have shorted something. and when i change the rf2 channel, do i need to switch of the hd box or just keep it on afterwards. as i say i have tried everything thats being said but just cant get anywhere. my postcode is ky7 6xx and i have tried all they channels on done an outtune and manual. Maybe just isnt meant to be. I really only want it for my little boy but may have to try alternative methods

hiya jb. What is a coax jumper. I have connected tv 2 to coaxial cable wher it joins so theres no split and just does the same. Yeah i have a seperate ariel in the room for the 2nd tv to gain freeview. I got the box around 6 months ago and i will need to check the model number off it. I do have an older sky hd box. I will try the little portable i have tonight and see if this works.

hiya.getting somwhere.its been narrowed down to cabling.brought the tv through with some difficulty and it tuned in ok with a 2 metre coaxial.tried it back in room and nothing.so looks as if i am going to have to buy new cabling.unless its a poor wire thats connected in back of sky.

i done a check with the cable to connect it to the ariel socket in room with tv 2 and didnt pick up freeview.then tried smaller cable in sam socket straight after and picked up the free view.so i am presuming its the cable.youv been suh a help.ill let you know tomorrow how i get on

hiya jb. eventually got this working. it was down to the poor cabling that i bought from the market (bought a thicker one for cheaper on ebay) so all good now. is there any way of getting the hd on to 2nd tv (i went and purchased a 20m hdmi cable and a splitter) tinking i would just do that but obviously i would need to change the 2nd tv to hdmi output (1,2 or 3) therefore not getting the rf2 output. thinking this cannot be done

so what can be the cause for this?it goes out either way if i disconnect it fom the tv or i keep it in the tv and disconnect the coaxial cable.it only stays on if its all connected together.sorry for being a pain
