Where i live the we have a communal tv system
We are supplied with an analogue and digital signal
To watch the digital channels we have to use a DVB_C receiver,no card is required as the signal is not encrypted.
Do u think i could use a virgin v+ box as a pvr or do they have to be connected to virgin cable to work

Hi Les
I live in Gibraltar and our cable service is provided by a local company, they get U.K. tv using satillite dishes and then distribute the signal to the local housing estates via fibre optic cables.
We use dvb-c receivers in order to pickup the channels on our tv's.The receivers only have one tuner so can only record what we watch.I thought if i got a v+ box i could use that as a pvr
