dave thanks for your reply just checked and as you say fault has been fixed sound back to normal as long as Dave doesn't show Norman Collier will be ok

Just searching for answers as I have the same problems on Channel 45 chopped sound on off on off like the old norman collier comedy routine have tried re tuning a number of times all other channels ok and picture is perfect however on the same aeriel with a newer set the problems is not there the problem set is an older Toshiba does anyone know if the digital decoder for an older set would be the cause seems a pity to ditch the set for sound on one channel only any help would be appreciated.
