I am totally new to freeview, digiboxes and the like, not being interested in anything but the choice I had with channels 1 to 5 on my standard TV. But I was given a digitalvideo recorder (the model is: technika aedtr160s7 digital video recorder) and after struggling with the installation for a coup[le of days I managed to get it working and it has been a revelation in terms of TV enjoyment.
Tonight however, I would have liked to have a look at the uefa football on itv 4 but have not got the channel installed and cannot install it either. I have read through this topic and have tried everything including the new installation of channels via the menu > set up option and have disconnected my set up completely several times to try and try but all to no avail in hoping for 1tv4.
Is it the case that I will not be able to get it at all or is there a sure fire way that anyone (briantist's knowledge is very impressive) knows will work if I go about it.
As I say I have loads of channels, even though I only really use channel 80 for the news but having this one extra would come in very handy from time to time.
My postcode is b31 2fp, I gather from info on here that I am receiving my signals from Sutton Coldfield I am not sure what type of aerial I have as it just comes through the wall in my home. There is Service Company who charge everyone in my block a fee for things like that so I am sure it will be of good quality. Thanks and I hope someojne can help.
