Below are all of Gordon Green's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page. After doing quite a bit of searching I found just one website which suggested that Aberdeen radar operated at about 1200MHz. I suspect the signal was swamping my booster and I solved the problem by fitting a low pass filter with a cut off above group A, a TETRA filter would probably have done the job.

I have just identified a problem here in AB23 causing loss of signal on the BBC A multiplex and also affecting the other multiplexes. The aerial is a Labgear48 element group A and the cable is double screened satellite cable. About two miles from here is the radar station for Aberdeen airport and it sits about 90 degrees off to the side of the aerial. Every few seconds the signal level on BBC A changes from 80% to 0%. The effect on the other multiplexes is much less with the signal dropping to about 70% so this does not cause pixelation.
I suspect the only solution is going to be a Freesat receiver.
