I live in DE5 3 postcode and receive my Freeview signal via a rooftop aerial from the Waltham transmitter, as do the majority of people around me. I have been having problems at certain times of the day, with no signal/pixilation etc., particularly on Mux PSB2 (channel 34). I have just re-tuned as per the recommendations on this site (i.e. emptying channel line-up first) and can receive all Muxes without any problem EXCEPT PSB2. An auto re-tune did not even pick-up the channel 34 services and I had to tune these in manually, but they are still either pixillated or have no signal. They may well become available later in the day though. I have checked the suggested interference items on this site, but other than a PVR, I do not have any of the other items in my house (i.e.Sky box, games console etc.). However I am wondering if such items in adjacent properties (detached) could affect my signal. If this is not possible what other causes could affect my signal particularly for Mux PSB2. Many thanks in anticipation of your advice.

Chris.SE : Thanks for the prompt response to the problem I sent on 6 of June. I have carried out all the connection checks which you mentioned with the exception of the aerial, which I shall require an aerial technician to do. Up until two weeks ago I was still having the same pixilation/no signal problem on Mux PSB2 only, after about 9.00 in the morning until about 10.00 or 11.00 at night. No other Muxes were affected. Two weeks ago your site said that the Waltham transmitter had engineering works, the same last week and again this week. I expected greater problems as a result, but not so. For both weeks Mux PSB2 gave almost perfect reception along with all the others, so I have concluded that the problem must have been due to interference, but from what source; presumably something operating at or near the frequency of Mux PSB2. I can't see how poor connections would only operate between certain hours of the day and on one Mux only. Do you have any further thoughts on the problem please? Many thanks
