The initital set-up in my house was designed to facilitate the:
- distribution of the terrestial signal to multiple locations that allowed independent selection. This continues to be the case today;
- distribution of the satellite signal to multiple locations where each of the latter were slaves to the selected channel on the sky box. This continues to be the case today.
I have the equipment located in the main lounge. The set-up was modified by a technician from the sky agent when I was away. The result is that all of the other locations are being serviced as before, however, a change has occurred in the main lounge.
The current configuration for reception in the lounge is that the:
- signals are fed from the respective antennae directly into the sky box;
- a scart is connected between the VCR socket of the sky box and the in/out scart socket on the DVD;
- a cable is then connected between the video out on the DVD to the video in on the plasma;
- an audio cable runs between the DVD and the BOSE amp.
This set-up allows me to select either the DVD or the sky channels via the DVD. This is simple and works well.
However, I am unable to view the terrestial channels in the main lounge with this set-up. Note that the VCR is disconnected from all.
How can I rectify this situation?

I have the following equipment:
- panasonic plasma TH-42PWD6
- SKY+ box
- Goodmans GDVDR320HDMIB
- BOSE Surround
- Philips VR170 VCR
I receive signals from a roof mounted aerial (terrestial) and a satellite dish.
