Hi,
I have a Panasonic 42" Plasma TV (TH-42PZ85B) as well as a Panasonic Blue-Ray Recorder (DMR-BWT800) and I live in Chorley Lancashire, I'm not certain, but I believe my local transmitter is Winter Hill.

I've had no problems with HD channels with ether piece of equipment, until today that is! I retuned the Panasonic TV first, but all it did was to remove all four HD channels and none are listed anywhere in the TV's E.P.G. If I enter '101' or 102,3, or 4, it just says 'invalid DVD Channel'

I've retuned twice as well as setting the TV back to 'Shipping Condition' and running auto setup again, but still no HD Channels!

Fortunately, I have held off retuning the blu-ray recorder for now, so can still watch the HD channels via its tuner. Normally I hang shy of doing any kind of tech upgrades ie on any of my Apple devices and computers for this very reason. But I had expected this to be more 'idiot' proof, guess I've turned out to be the idiot!

I just hope that I don't loose any more channels.

Robert,

Yes I know about the change of channel numbers, but as I said in my original post, retuning (including resetting tuner to 'shipping condition' all that happens is that channels 50,51,52 have been removed, but nothing has been allocated to 101, 102, & 103. They simply do not show up in the EPG. Even if I enter the channel number to change to these channels using the number keys on my remote, it just reports an invalid DVB channel.

Today (23rd) I tried a complete auto setup etc and still no change.

I'm really ticked off over this, I have checked the user manual for my tv but I can find nothing else to rectify this problem.

Has anybody any suggestions to how I can proceed?
