Hello, I am slightly concerned, you mention that freesat is the only available way of receiving a digital signal. Unfortunately I cannot receive freesat due to a very large oak tree on the train line land at the end of my garden. Freeview doesnt exists, sky is the same problem with the trees, BT who provide TV through broadband say our area isnt covered. It looks like Im heading into a black out next week! Does any one have any suggestions other than whats noted above?

We had the local aerial man come out to our house, he climbed up the back wall which is indeed south facing, used his gizmo to see whether we could receive a signal off the satellite which as you mention was roughly 25 degrees off to the left and then told us we were the only house in the street which wouldnt be able to receive satellite due to the tree being in the way. The only other option he said was to erect a massive mast (which we agrees would look hideous and silly) and mount the dish on that.
