We've had zero Freeview signal (standard or HD) for about 10 days now, just get a black screen with the occasional 'signal lost' message flashing up. This is for all channels, we're in CV47. Done all the expected equipment checks / re-tunes etc. but it''s the same on all the TVs in the house. The annoying thing is this has happened every year in the summer for the last 3-4 years (since we've been in this house). It lasts anything between 1-4 weeks and then suddenly comes back. We hope it comes back again this time (still waiting!), but it's annoying when you can't watch or record any TV at all. An even more annoying side effect is that the Freeview recorder still tries to record programmes on series record, and as it gets no signal on the recordings this corrupts the hard drive, making any previously recorded programmes inaccessible. The only solution to this is to re-format the disk which wipes out months of recordings we wanted to watch.
Anyone any ideas what this could be, and how to avoid it happening?
