I tried a manual scan on channel 47 and received no results. As a check I did a manual scan on Ch44 and got 31 hits. I get 91 programs altogether with an auto scan, my tv finds 104 although it doesn't have an HD tuner so obviously doesn't list the HD channels.
I also tried a manual scan on Ch21 to see if I could pick anything up off the back of the aerial but with no results.
I must admit that I do have suspicions about the Freeview HD box. I think I need to either find someone local who is recieving HD and try my box there or take it to my parents who are getting HD off of Sandy.

Oh well I tried my Samsung BD-C8200 box at my parents (CB11) and could get no HD from Sandy, their Panasonic TV pulls it in ok. I have emailed Amazon concerning a warranty return. I await their reply in anticipation.

jb38: Amazon have offered a full refund, a bit quick off the mark there since I only emailed them at about 9.00pm last night and had a reply awaiting me at 8.00am this morning. Something I have noticed is that Samsung have released a BD-D8200 whereas mine is a BD-C8200. I wonder if that one will work?

H, I live in CB9 which although is listed in the Sandy reception area the east side of the town in general looks to Sudbury. Last Christmas in anticipation of the comming digital switch over I purchased a Samsung BD-C8200 Blueray/HDD/Freveiw HD box. After the switch and necessary retunes I'm not aware of anything missing, possibly gained a couple of extra channels, but no HD. My question is. Should I be seeing some HD now?
