Thanks Briantist. I haven't used the card yet so I'll see if they'll refund me. I can't affor a new HD+ box yet, so I'll just go back to receiving freeview throught the HDR.

I have just unsubscribed from sky and paid £25 for a sky freesat card. I also have a Sony RDR HXD 860 that I'v been bypassing since I got Sky. I dont want to pay Sky £10 per month to be able to record. Is there a way to record from Sky freesat to my hard drive recorder? Or indeed, have I wasted my £25 i.e would I be better disconecting the SKY box altogether and going back to freview vi the Sony?
