My TV aerial is plasterboarded in to the apex of the loft. It was rescued from Mum's house around 20 years ago after being thrown out. I had to shorten it to fit the space. It has run three sets (one on each floor) perfectly, with never a hiccup, ever since; didn't grumble once during the changeover to digital and still going strong.
Don't you just love technology.
P.S Thank you for the really useful site.

Forgive me if I'm in the wrong space/time ... I've been watching Al Jazeera; along with/ amongst other news channels on my Freesat box for years now, today - 14/11/2017 - Al jazeera has gone, first a black screen then after a re-tune, missing altogether. I emailed Freesat who replied that they don't offer a service called Al Jazeera !! have I slipped into a parallel universe?

js,
Thanks for the reply; makes sense now, years ago ( in the Army ) we used to have problems with 'rain fade' at UHF frequencies; also, ( I noticed later), Bloomberg was falling out the same time as Al Jazeera ! Where do you get all this info ?

Hi,
The links in your email to me take me to a 'site map looking' screen with the main screen just showing around the edges,at which point ,I can't do anything with it; is this what they call a broken link, or could it be my email prog (Windows Mail)?
Regards,
Don.
