I understand what you mean Chris. The signal failures look more like engineering work with periodic dropouts followed by broken signal for a few seconds, loss of signal for a short time then restoration.

BBC 1 and BBC 2 went off at 17.16 today on both standard definition and high definition. Sty on chanels 3 and 103 also off. "No signal" reported. Channels 4 and 104 both working but signal on channel 4 prone to freezing.
