Thanks MikeB - just tried it and lost even more channels. I have spent all weekend and tonight messing with it - its exhausting. I have been advised by customer services it is faulty and so can return it...though I am not convinced it is faulty. Why do I think there is something wrong with my connection?? I will return and try another make. I have a 17 yr old tv that works fine and a VCR connected to it. I have even unplugged the vcr but it made no difference. I dont think I want to spend a lot on a freeview box as in time, i probably will have to change my tv and a new one will freeview built in....
I am grateful for your advice.

I have a new Freeview box purchased just 2 days ago. . All was well until until this afternoon I suddenly lost all the ITV channels, C4 channels, C5 channels, Film 4 and many more. I still havent got them back. Is this due to the weather please.

Dave Lindsay: thanks for your reply. It happened while i was watching tv - it wasnt on standby. I have re-scanned and while the channels are on the EPG - when I select one of the'troubling' channels i get message stating - No or bad signal. Since late afternoon today - tv has been pixalating/freezing quite a lot also. Also neighbour, who hasnt been affected, came with a digital tv with built-in freeview and this didnt work properly - pixalating and freezing....could it be my aerial?

I don't have a booster, I only have the one TV.
If my rooftop aerial is faulty, would I be able to view any thing at all?

Yes, when ITV vanishes, I also lose ITV3
This morning I have all my channels. Can this happen with a faulty aerial that channels come and go? I wondered if my laptop could be interferring?

Hi
Please could someone help...I live in BL7 9AR - and just bought a Bush freeview Top set. Installed no problem and had all the channels. Second day all the ITV channels,C5 and many more are missing. I have actioned a re-scan, deleted all channels and completed a 'first time installation' many times over. Got them all back but lost them again. Repeated the whole process again but unsuccessful.
Is this a faulty box please?
