im really worried now. have an aerialforce engineer coming tomorrow between 8am-12pm to disconnect an old cable and put a new one on my aerial and run it 10m across an extension and through an upstairs bedroom wall from outside to inside. To me that seems a pretty simple job, i just dont have the tools and all my local businesses are snowed under with work so i shall let you guys know how i get on! Location is West Dunbartonshire in Scotland. I would think £60 tops for the job, will see what my quote is when he turns up, anything over £70 he'll be told where to go...

so, job done, received a call around 8:30am saying they would get here between 11-2pm, arrived 11am on the dot which i thought was quite good. Explained the job and was quoted £65+20% vat so £78 in total. A bit much i thought. Just wanted the job done so went with it. There were two guys, seemed to know what they were doing, job took about 15mins and they did everything i asked. Once they left i checked the roof and the indoor connection. Perfect picture on tv however the job did seemed completely rushed and i even overheard them say 'we need to make this a quick one, we need to be at the next place by 12' which was pretty unprofessional. Glued a shield on the outside of the house to cover the cable hole which im sure will fall off the next time it rains heavily and the indoor wall circle they used wasnt even fixed onto the wall, was basically just a stopper on the cable. All in all, a very rushed job by guys that knew what they were doing however far too expensive, especially as all i got was 15m of cable and a hole in the wall. Cant complain about the picture though.

To confirm previous comment, the receipt form actually says: 'aerial solutions' and then has an aka underneathe with 4 other company names which does seem like theyre trying to cover themselves from bad press.

Hope this helps you guys, kind of wishing id read this thread before i called them. Definately stick to word of mouth, local tradesmen, saves you a lot of time, hassle and money.
