Also will this be a final retune or are we going to face further changes again in the coming future.

it would seem that com 8 on channel 56 has been off air since Wed evening, I phoned Freeview helpline to query and they confirmed it.
Their suggestion was that I do a manual re-tune on that frequency , a bit daft since there was NO signal to tune to, however the signal returned about 4pm today
It would be nice if problems like this could be flagged better to prevent viewers rushing to replace aerials and/or down-leads. we used to get a message on-screen informing us of signal problems or engineering work, as it was all websites continued to say there were no faults or work on Rowridge.

Do we know yet if the latest changes at Rowridge will still take place during June,
will com7/8 be removed as stated and where will those channels be moved to.
For some time now my reception on com7/8 has been variable, funnily they seem to cut out at around 10pm most nights.

however on this very site under the section " How will Rowridge transmission frequencies change over
time" it clearly states that Coms7 and 8 will be removed by 30th June 2020 to make way for 5G use.
Where does that come from?

So now they have switched off com8 and moved the channels affected around, deleting some,
it would be nice if they could increase the power on com7 so that it could be made watchable.
I live in New Milton ,some 13 miles from the transmitter and the reception on com,s7/8 have been average at best, sadly it would seem that revenue is more important than signal quality.
British broadcasting used to be the jewel in the crown across the world, now it has decended to the level of US TV that we used to laugh at years ago,a mish-mash of endless repeats and poor US programes, just to fill the gaps between the money-making adds,
A programe first aired on BBC ,filling an hour now takes from 100-110 mins when you include the add breaks.
Let have freeview sorted out once and for all with OFCOM taking a lead so we can cut out this constant retuning mess

Each week we get a new posting about engineering work on Rowridge transmitter.
this has been going on for some time now. What are they actually doing and how is it going to improve my TV reception. are they likely to boost the power on the remaining 3 muxes.

just what is this "planned engineering work"it has been going on now for over 2 years I believe.
it might have been quicker to knock the who thing down and start again.

am I missing something here, Rowridge transmitter signal is strongest on vertical polarity across all frequencies, however, the new HD channels promised are only going to be on horizontal, who thought of that, and how many aerials will have to be switched to HP, and at what cost to the licence payer who has to fork out
