We first noticed our freeview had gone yesterday around 1700 as well. A couple of channels are ok (Dave is best), a few more are breaking up (STV, C4) and we get nothing from the BBC.
We also have an analogue aerial pointed at the Garelochhead repeater. Weirdly, STV has got better while BBC2 (previously the best) has got much worse, BBC1 and C4 are still the same, just about watchable.
I've just tried a full rescan on the freeview box and it just found the few channels that were there anyway, still nothing BBC, etc.
We've never had issues like this before.
Are you able to elaborate on what the engineers are up to? And whether this is permanent?
Many thanks.

Thanks for your reply. Our issue is with Freeview from Rosneath.

I believe Garelochhead is a repeater from Rosneath, but it only carries analogue. We rarely watch on analogue, but thought the differences in quality that happened at the same time as loss of freeview was interesting.

Our freeview returned yesterday evening as well.
Had tried several full rescans, and checked the aerial and all connections, but it just returned of it's own accord.
