Below are all of J Taylor's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.I live 7 miles from the Lichfield HD transmitter and since 30th December 2010 all HD signals have vanished but all SD Freeview channels and analog are OK. No one seems to know why. Any advice appreciated.

I have the Samsung LE40C580 HDTV and would like to know the meaning of the symbols shown when you press the 'INFO' button.
Depending on the type of programme being broadcast, the list of symbols range from... 1080i - 16.9 - HD - G - D -AD - _ etc. Some of which are fairly obvious. The ones I am not sure about are the stylised D in a purple box, G in a red circle and AD. Any help with other symbols not listed here also appreciated.

I already have the Samsung manual download for my TV but it does not list the the meanings of the INFO letters. I know AD as this one is discussed in he manual, it's just G and D and any others that have yet to appear. I have search the internet in all the obvious places but can find no reference, even in TV magazines. Thanks for trying.

Briantist: Thanks for the reply but we can still get ch5 OK. All HD channels no longer work on my Sony TV. How can I find out more info on the Lichfield transmitter, are there any links.
