Below are all of Howard Galley's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Helen Horner: Hi Helen,your tv receives freesat from one of the Astra satellites (same as Sky)which means you can only receive the channels you already have.
Now if you change your settings to Eurobird on your tv, you will get 'no signal'as Eurobird is a different satellite a few degrees away from the Astra one.

James: Hi James,sounds like you may have an aerial problem, it should be vertical on its fittings, water in cable maybe - take your coax plug apart on the end of the cable to see if its dry and not discolored (greeny yellow & wet of course) BBC channels are on ch 27 lower end of the spectrum at Fenham.
Things you can try use a cheap freeview digibox & try tuning that in, look for damage to the aerial & cable, try your Sony tv at your friends house. Good luck!
