Hi Andy, try re-locating the 'eye' sometimes the screen itself can cause
interference
that can interfere with the eye.
What type or eye do you have. Have a look here as there are a few designed just for flat panel screens.
Remote 'Eyes'
I have one of this type and have never had any issues.
