Below are all of Jo's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page. Thanks for your response jb38. I'll try the viewing card idea you suggested. The signal on the 2nd input is alway 0 when this happens and not locked. If on non hd channels, the signal is fine.

jb38: just tried the viewing card and it didn't bring the connection back. I have an old hd box from my old house, do you know if that will work with my viewing card, or would I have to phone sky to link it? If that works then I'd know it was the box.
Thanks again for your help

jb38: Thank you for the continued support. Apologies for the delay.
The sky box was a brand new installation, but this was back in Jan 2012.
I kept trying yesterday, but it didn't fail at all yesterday so will test it again next time it fails (this is why its annoying, as it doesn't happen all the time..)
Thanks again

I have a strange problem. I can't watch any hd channels on my sky box unless I reboot my box. They then come back for a bit before going into "No Signal" mode again.
Have checked the cables connected to the box and they seem fine. Everything else I've read is for complete loss, but as I mentioned, it comes back after a reboot (but don't want to have to do this all the time)
It's been like this since it was installed but I have just lived with it, but now I have movies so really want to watch them In hd.
Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks
