Below are all of Kevin Hodges's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Nick, do you receive Dover whilst having the aerial positioned towards Sudbury? There would appear to be about 90deg difference in the transmitter directions.

Tessa, there is no mention of 3D anywhere on the Freeview website. It was available on Virgin Cable TV

Nick, that's a strange one. Here in Chelmsford I pick up all the mux's (including ch60) without problem. Purely a guess but could it be something to do with the radiation pattern of Sudbury?

I'm now the proud owner of a new TV, which has Freeview HD, and a Blu ray surround system.
Whilst recently scanning the HD channels I caught the end of a test card and 5.1 surround check on the BBC HD preview channel. Does anyone know if this test is broadcast at set times? I've looked on the BBC site but can't find any info. I'm hoping to record this test so I can fiddle with the settings when the boss isn't around!

This is boring. No Engineering works, no re-tunes required and all muxes received loud and clear. What is a man to do?

I see that the DigitalUK site is saying there's a 're-tune event' on 3rd September. Can anybody give any reasons for this please? Thanks Kevin

Chelmsford
Nick, for what it's worth I've a wideband 'X' beam aerial in the loft (feeding the TVs via a 4 way amp) and pick up all the Sudbury mux's loud and clear here in sunny Chelmsford. I assume that with the long term proposals to increase the number of mux's all aerials will need to be wideband
