hI,I think everyone has to take a step back and learn something,UHF radio waves are like light waves,in spite of high tx powers,there are areas that are below the radio horizon,signals can be bounced off local objects and the signal field will cancel ,sometimes putting a tv aerial on the roof may not be the best place,good signals can be found in funny places,perhaps freesat maybe could be better option for certain people,If people listen to advice then that would a way forward and not run around like a headless chickens...n

hi chris,i live in a swamp area from oxford,so none of the signals vanishes here,what is happening as in analogue days is fading out of the channel caused by local conditions,try if you can,invert the front of the
aerials slightly upwards and see if matters improve. In VHF days when i resided in swindon,wenvoe,ch5,
was very troublesome,the aerial was tilted upwards slightly and it helped,n................

seeing comments for the closure of the mw,its always money,all the time,what about the money spent by the public,and what if north korea drops a device,most of the fancy electronic infrastructure would be fried,as a former member of the wartime broadcasting service,at least the mw transmitters are hardened,so keep yr am radios,they may be needed.
