This is going to upset a lot of Sally Taylor fans, I personally can't stand her but I quite like Reham Khan if she is still about, never watch South Today myself. Use to love Meridian Tonight SE before the cut backs though
I can see a lot of Brighton viewers high ASL wanting antennas pointing to the IOW then !!

I wonder how this freeview light service compares with DTT in say Germany or France etc. Do all small relays get the same number of channels ??

Five HD has to get the slot surely being one of the main 5 channels ??
Will all freeview light relays get this channel also ?

The Aussie version of the beeb the ABC is goverment funded, why not here ?? They tried the licence fee idea decades ago but it never worked

It's obvious really it was going to be 5 HD, makes sense being the 5th main channel
Bring it on, when it could likely appear ?
I would say this would mean FTA on Freesat also very soon

What is the power at the moment for digital ? I had thought it was 1kw for the strongest mux ? What will all mux's be after DSO ?

Surely the transmission will be mpeg4 to future proof the channel ??
What about coverage of local events like the Brighton Festival etc, if the channel is so hard up this will never happen
I think a 1hr news slot early evening would give alternative viewing but then so few care I think
