It is easy for a DAB radio to time-synch a displayed clock from time signals it receives.
If it manages to make pips broadcast synch precisely as heard that is clever as it needs to know how much delay it is imposing to decode the signals into audio.
If you mean how is time corrected during broadcasts - probably just in chunks too small fdor you to notice or small enough that its decoder hides them.

re IAN TELFORD above surely if he stops paying SKY the recording will stop working, even though he can still get Freesat?

Stephen what do you mean by db?
50-65 are the CHANNELS in use
dB - decibel - is a measure of signal strength - depends how far you are but 50-65 is a good signal.

Steve how are you trying to do this?
I'm guessing that you are recording on the box and trying to watch TV live using a built in Freeview Tuner, or a Freeview Box. In either case you need a jump lead to connect from the RF Out or similar socket in the Freeview recorder on to the TV/other box. Or alternatively a separate aerial feed. With neither there will indeed be "no signal"

Paul do you have access to the amplifier? If so, connect the input lead to one output lead and see if it works.
Do you know how it is powered?
Is it a new setup with the TVs, or has something that used to work stopped?

You can still get a lot of Free sat services from your sky box but I think for BBCi you will need a PC/tablet with a HDMI output; or some other device that gets your wifi into your TV

Never mind the quality, feel the bandwidth.
I wonder if they upsell once they arrive?
