This article basically says that if you live within 2k of the new 4G transmitters you will get interference from them and will not be able to tune in to many freeviewchannels. I am unable to get BBC1, 2, 3 and 4 and intermittent reception for Dave and Dave ja vu. The above link may go some way towards explaining your problem. I am presently looking into getting rid of virgin media as they keep putting their prices up but having read this article in the Independent I may wait a bit until the Government agrees to pay not only the filter costs but also the installation costs before switching to Freeview +.
