I live in Weymouth & we get a reduced Freeview service from a local transmitter on Wyke hill.
I purchased a Triax 52 element group a aerial & mast head booster installed them myself I am a qualifed electrician & as part of my apprentiship back in the 1960's did a few months aerial rigging so I have a little experiance in this field, lined up the aerial using the meter in the settings menu on the tv & like magic on channels 21 & 27 receive a 77% signal.
Look forwards to 18th of April when if my info. is correct channels 30 33 & 37 are also boosted to 20k as well.

Hi Again
A request from some who may have the info I want.
The Digosville transmitter near Cherbourg is almost direct line of sight south from my house in Weymouth.
A couple of years ago I by chance while searching for the Beacon Hill transmitter near Plymouth locked into some France channels,from Cherbourg I presume I am currently undertaking a French course at a local college & would like to find them again if at all possible does anyone know what channels they transmit on so I can try a manual search.

Is Formula 1 transmitted on any free to air French terrestial tv chanel?
If so what tv channel is it transmitted on ?

What satellite system do I require pick up French tv in the UK.
The channels that I want do not appear to be on Freesat.

All channels bar 22 seem ok, 22 poor signal strength & very poor quality of signal.
Picture on Sky News & Dave break up.
Will try to fine tune the aerial direction over the weekend, otherwise all seems to be ok.

Wife said she was watching Really this afternoon which is on channel 22 & a prompt to retune came up she did & now all seems to be ok.

I live in Weymouth & have fitted a high gain vertically polorised ariel with mast head booster set up by compass bearing then fine tuned with the signal strength meter in the tv's menu.
However,the ststions on multiplex channel 22 keep breaking up, signal strength ok, but quality poor except on a sunny day when it is ok.
Can somebody explain why the other multiplex channels ore ok but not channel 22.

I live in a fringe area in Dorset served by by a local transmitter that only provides a limited Freeview service so I have tuned into the Beacon Hill transmitter with a high gain aerial & mast head booster so I can receive the full Freeview service with local news from Plymouth.
Now that Rowridge transmitter has come on line can I fit a second aerial via a tee connector into the booster so I can retain the Beacon Hill signal that is stronger & add the Southampton based news service from the Rowridge transmitter.
