Mike Davison, I'm not surprised that you can receive the new high-powered BBC multiplex from Bilsdale with your loft aerial on the back of it. I live 3 to 4 miles south of Wetherby, and I can receive that multiplex with a small four element indoor aerial downstairs looking through the window towards Bilsdale, and depending where I put it, it is Signal Strength roundabout 60% and signal quality 100%. Back in June when they did an overnight test I received all the multiplexes with an indoor aerial through the same the same window. But of course I receive my signals from Emley Moor transmitter.

Peter Hall, can I suggest you read the posting of Dave Lindsay above. It explains the thing to do if you need to scan your TV as he explains Bilsdale all-digital channels will be on much higher power, and you may need to do a manual scan! I know you said about East Yorkshire, but it still applies. Do a manual scan. I suggest.

I have read all the above postings, with interest. As regards the reception of Bilsdale transmitter, I can receive it very well with an indoor aerial which is a 4 element indoor aerial and its halfway up a downstairs window pointing towards Bilsdale. I have no trouble receiving all MUXes. The Quality is 100%. The signal strengths do vary between the 50 and 75%, but I do not have any trouble as I've said already receiving any of the signals from Bilsdale. My television receiver is Panasonic model TX-L 375B, and it indoor aerial is a Maxview - C3010 - Truvision Set Top Aerial by Maxview (Accessory) . I normally get my television signal from Emley Moor. So in other words Bilsdale seems to be working okay where I am, which is about 3 to 4 miles south of Wetherby in West Yorkshire.
