Yes, I totally agree that many of the programmes on BBC Alba are a lot more interesting than the general fair that the other broadcasters feel they want you to see. As well as that, almost all the programmes apart from the children's programmes can still be enjoyed by the majority as they are mostly subtitled in English.

Another very interesting thing I've noticed about BBC Alba is the use of the 24 hour clock to show the times of the programmes like they tend to do on the continent, unlike the rest of the UK TV & Radio services which still chooses to use AM & PM. Why do we still do it? What is the problem with using the 24 hour clock, less confusing? The EPG's use the 24 hour clock format, so does the clock on your computer. Wake up Britain! Power to BBC Alba I say.

Is it possibly that you can tell me why there are no BBC Local radio stations on Virgin cable anymore, with the exception of BBC Radio London? I know this has been like this now for maybe 3 or more years if I remember correctly. I don?EUR(TM)t personally have cable or even wish to, but I have been to other people?EUR(TM)s homes who do & noticed this.

I live in Birmingham & radio stations like BBC Radio WM, BRMB, Beacon Radio (now Free Radio) had been available, but not anymore. Why were they removed? I don?EUR(TM)t really need BBC Radio London; it is of little use here. There?EUR(TM)s plenty of other radio services, but nothing LOCAL to this area. I?EUR(TM)ve noticed on Virgin cable?EUR(TM)s web-site you can find out plenty of information about the TV & telephone services, but if you try to search out any information about the radio services they put out there seems to be absolutely no information to be found.

The other day I was staying at my daughter?EUR(TM)s house who has cable. I thought there?EUR(TM)s a couple of radio programmes that I?EUR(TM)d quite like to hear that were broadcast a couple of days previously, maybe I could do that on the catch-up service. No such luck. If it was for a TV programme however there would have been no problem. Radio really does get a raw deal it seems.

It's great to see that BBC local radio is now being broadcast on Freeview. However it rather disappoints me to see that BBC Radio WM is only broadcasting in mono on that platform? Can you tell me why?

I don't think it's my audio equipment as all other radio broadcasts via Freeview sound ok, but I've found the audio on BBC Radio WM on there can sometimes sounds very harsh with a lot of scratchy type sounds particularly when they're broadcasting listeners calls live on air. Has anyone else noticed this? I switched to BBC Radio WM on FM at the same time on the same piece of equipment & the audio there sounded perfect.

Do you know if there are plans to put other BBC local radio stations on Freeview?
